American Chemical Society (ACS) –  serves more than 157,000 members globally, the largest scientific society in the world, the ACS provides educational and career development programs, products, and services.

American Association for the Advancement of Science  (AAAS) – the world’s largest multidisciplinary scientific society and a leading publisher of cutting-edge research through its Science family of journals, Membership is open to anyone who shares our goals and belief that science, technology, engineering, and mathematics can help solve many of the challenges the world faces today.

Resources for Individual Development Plans (IDPs)

ChemIDP – is designed specifically for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in the chemical sciences. The development of ChemIDP was supported by the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Teams Program  and the American Chemical Society (ACS) Board of Directors.

myIDP – is a career-planning tool tailored to meet the needs of PhD students and postdoctoral scholars in the sciences, with an emphasis on the biological sciences. The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) first proposed the project in 2003 and it is currently supported by the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s (AAAS).
